The Maraton Ladja is a traditional regatta of typical wooden boats, called Lađe, which takes place every year in Croatia along the Neretva River.

The Cultural Association of the Croatian Community of Molise “Luigi Zara” has participated in nine editions of the Maraton Ladja with its own crew.

The race:

• It takes place annually in Croatia.

• The route runs from Metković to Ploče.

• It follows the course of the Neretva River.

• The protagonists are traditional wooden boats called Lađe.

Participation in the regatta strengthened ties with the homeland of the ancestors of the Croatian-Molise community, particularly with the Neretva Valley.
